We are just a stone’s throw from some charming walking routes, so why not stretch your legs with a walk to St Dyfnog’s well, a beautiful medieval location that is decorated in greenery and running streams.

Or, if you fancy a longer stroll, you find yourself less than 30 minutes away from the idyllic scenery of Moel Famau, the highest hill in the Clwydian range.

The walking trail to the top of Moel Famau and the ruins of the Jubilee Tower sets off from the car park. The Jubilee Tower was built in 1810 for the golden jubilee of King George III and the ruins can be seen for miles around.

With the main road now bypassing the village, the park has become an area of tranquillity – and the perfect holiday location. We are immensely proud of our surroundings and would love to share this area of outstanding natural beauty with you too.

 

 

Being based in Llanrhaeadr, we are close to excellent local restaurants offering fine dining and quality pub experiences.

Some worthy of a mention are the Nant-Y-Felin, and family run gastropub just a short drive away, and Ruthin Castle where Bertie’s Restaurant serves up local, seasonal produce, whilst the Tafarn y Ddraig offers a more relaxed & informal dining option.

At Oakview, you will find yourself a short distance from incredibly popular tourist spots such as Denbigh Castle, Conwy Castle and the charming village of Llangollen. Slightly further afield, you can visit the Pistyll Llanrhaedr, the UK’s largest single drop waterfall.

If you like angling, the Montgomery and Llangollen canals are considered some of the finest fishing locations in the North and are located under 40 minutes away.
